Independence Day

Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15th August to mark India’s freedom from British rule in 1947. It is a proud and patriotic day for all Indians, especially in schools like MMCC.

 Flag Hoisting Ceremony

• The celebration begins with hoisting the national flag

• Everyone sings the national anthem, Jana Gana Mana

• Students show respect by saluting the flag

Speeches and Importance

• Students and teachers give speeches about:

  • Freedom struggle

  • Importance of independence

• Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Subhas Chandra Bose are remembered

Cultural Programs

• Patriotic songs and dances

• Fancy dress competitions as freedom fighters

 Parade and Activities

• Students participate in march past

• Competitions like drawing, essay writing, and quizzes

• NCC or school bands may perform

Sweet Distribution

• Sweets are distributed to students

• It adds joy and celebration to the day
